As stated by some the headphones need a full seal within the ear canal to provide optimal frequency responsiveness and reproduce bass properly

This is already my second pair of these headphones the previous one has unfortunately broken after washing several times in the washing machine

I use the largest earbud covers that were included and they work well

They help the headphones provide excellent sound quality aid in blocking external background noise and are comfortable to wear
