Using the drone of my air conditioner as my baseline it seems the advertised nrr 35db noise reduction is a combination ofa the inherent passive noise isolation by the earphone construction 25db reduction which is actually about standard for good earphone constructionb the anc active noise cancellation through white noise field generation about 10db
Its educated guesswork based off long experience yet still guesswork to be fair
Nevertheless the result is equitable to 85 anc levels that are the general market standard for overthehead anc headphones
