Pros

Cooler is dead silent and arguably one of the best air coolers available. It's super quiet and cooled down my cpu during gaming by about 10-15c. Excellent cooling, with noise levels lower than a whisper.

Easy to install, sleek and quiet. Installation is straight forward, and all the required stuff is included (including a long screw driver and thermal paste).

This was a refurbished item in very good condition and that will come in repackaged. If you want a fantastic mid/middle high end cooler without paying a ton, or if you want noctua quality without going for a larger cooler, this is exactly what you nee...  Read More

Bought last aug. Its exactly as advertised. Didn't even have to take the motherboard out of the case. Price is a bit higher than a 212 evo but the performance and quality is definitely worth the premium.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a strong aftermarket air cooling solution. I'm sure the d15 would outperform this cooler slightly, but it's also quite a bit bulkier.

Quality

Good thermal and audio performance from a quality product

The built quality is also topnotch as expected

If possible its best to get a different thermal paste instead of using the one that was given to you with this product

I threw on a cheap fractal design silent 120mm fan to pull air off with the included noctua fan pushing and my temps dropped ab...  Read More

Price

The price seems fair for its performance

Price is a bit high but thats what you expect to get a full black version

Thought id give this a try because it looks awesome and have heard good things and the price seemed reasonable

Packaging/appearance

I wish it wasnt such a pain to unbox everything but that just means noctua did a very good job at packaging

Noctua went above and beyond with packaging accessories instructions and quality

My prebuilt pc came with a really poor cooler atop the ryzen 3700x

Competitiveness

I had a noctua splitter laying around from a previous build so i went that route

Highly recommended for people with a ryzen 5 5600x or any 5000series amd processor really

Might as well return all products and get the d15 or go to the competition like be quiet

It’s a chromax cooler but doesn’t come with any other coloured bumpers for the fan which is a bit of a disappointment

The bag was also cut open but was taped back

I didnt want to go through the hassle of returning it just for that but if it you are going to resell a returned unit i would expect it would be cleaned for any dust and to make sure the nickel plate is as clean as possible
