Pros

I haven’t noticed any coil whine at any sustained speeds.

Only complaint is that the wires are completely sheathed making them stiff to route and bend. After allowing 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize, i am very happy with the results.

The only odd thing is when the pc first powers on. They sound like the creepy, howling wind in an old horror movie. It’s not noisy enough to bug me.

Cons

All fan controls were disabled in bios when testing on 4-pin and 3-pin connectors. Once it starts to speed up, it makes a whirring sound that is quite noticeable. The whine happens independent of whether the mesh filter or front panel are installed.

Was hoping for a bit longer lifespan. Where is that cancel button? Ah.

Quality

I added this fan to a recent computer build and have been extremely pleased with the quality of this fan.

Quality is great although i did not realize they wouldn't come with the rubber pads to reduce vibration.

Since one of the front fans died, i replaced them all with the noctua nf-p12 fans.

The top and rear fans were previously stock that came with the nzxt case, while one front fan was a corsair rgb and the other s...  Read More

I also have the rubber nubs added to the corners that only help with the low noise level.

Price

I replaced the noisy stock rosewill fan with one of these fans and also added a front intake fan as well.

120cfm is really hard to beat when most comparable fans are doing 30-50cfm on average.

Competitiveness

It’s a noctua fan what can go wrong

I am definitely a noctua fanboy now.

It's a noctua fan that spins and moves air.

I'll likely replace that with a noctua as well.

These fans are a high rotation speed unit at 1,700 rpm max, so they aren't exactly all that quiet.

I would pay a few bucks more if they were included by default.

If i had a nuclear sub, then i'd consider these fans to cool the sonar.

So… i purchased this fan for a kind of odd purpose and not a computer.

My fridge is in a cabinet and lg intelligently designed the fridge with no provision to provide airflow to the rear.

I cut a hole in the top of the cabinet and mounted this guy, blowing up and out of the cabinet.
