I am guessing they would try to say that it doesn't matter, it is all about performance. While i understand the usefulness of them being color-coded, it still is misleading and not what i was expecting.

Got to cleaning my battery terminals after i saw they were disgustingly corroded and as a little bit of insurance installed these along with some dielectric grease

I have a 13 year old toyota that was developing the chalky whiteblue gunk on the terminals so i cleaned them off and put these on both the positive and negative terminals

You will need to remove your battery terminals to install them unless you cut them i did not

Wear some disposable gloves when you install them as there is an thick oil on them

If i understand it correctly they keep acidic gas from coming directly up and interacting with the terminals thus reducingeliminating corrosion
