It has a lot of power, sounds good, and let's you tinker with tube and op-amp rolling. This seems to function at least as well as a monoprice liquid spark and a fiio a3 portable amp.

Overall im happy with the 60 plus tubes spent

Also a good pairing with the senn hd6xx

I tried some other tubes and really enjoyed some raytheon jrp 5670wa ring getters though they were too bright when paired with the dt990

I instead put them in the loxjie p20 and use them with the hd6xx in an all balanced setup

Packaging/appearance

The ge tube warms the tone up just a bit and does just enough to take the edge off the highs in the dt990s
