Not every recording has the same tonal balance, so something needs to ride herd on the tonal input from time to time. An smsl m300 dac streaming spotify set at the highest quality.
This little ($310) sweetheart of an amp goes the full distance. The build quality is impressive, making for a rich looking amp. It more than fills my 10'x14' computer den.
The tubes aren't even close to broken in. Built to higher standard for long life. Longest tube life. Perhaps even a decade.
Widest soundstage and separation ever. The needles move allot more freely now. Only problem is now my ears are starting to hurt lol.
Cons
Amp is apparently used for desktop streaming music, not for listening to lps. Spark on rectifier tube is probably due to the design flaw most people mentioning on the cap being too big of a value. Media could not be loaded.

It is powerful enough that i cant turn the volume past about half way with my hd650s hooked up or it is too loud

I have noticed no hissing except between songs and even then it is very low on headphones and no hissing at all on speakers

If you are getting hissing move the unit to plug on its own breaker if possible if not at least use a breaker that does not have any other stereo equipment tvs or computer monitors on it
