The lid takes about 50 turns slight exaggeration to take off and the pen tip barely sticks out making it difficult to write with

Lasers are fine if you really cant get close enough to the subject or arent allowed to physically touch the boardscreen

But although they have greater range it is almost impossible to hold the laser beam steady on what you actually want to highlight
