The recipes in this book are tailor-made for athletes. Whether it’s a recipe for an energy bar or a smoothie, the instructions are simple. The veggie burger formula recipe is a staple for me.

It adds a lot of legitimacy to those that may not follow matt as steadfast as some of us. Matt brings the diet and sport to you in lehman's terms for anyone to understand. Matt frazier is an amazing writer.

Book is filled with great tidbits of advice on fueling for workouts. The book is also quite motivational, whether you intend to use it for running or not.

While his good intentions are evident, i think he fails in completing his overall mission. The book is fantastic in theory, but just not for me.

But i wasnt able to start changing my eating habits because we are hispanics and 80 of our meals come from animals and without a support team its very difficult to make the change

Ive eaten a mostly vegan diet for several years and have always been put off by the people in the vegan community who are more abrasive in their attempts to get people to follow a vegan lifestyle

Matts take on it is much more welcoming while he and his coauthor make a clear and strong case for all of the benefits of eating a vegan diet they dont argue that its the one and only way people should eat or shame anyone for not being vegan

This line of reasoning had only marginally existed in print as far as i can tell until the approximate time this book was published when the idea exploded and became more mainstream
