Unfortunately turning the lights off is not an option but fortunately your computer covers mosdt of it so it is barely noticable in a brightly lit room

The fans are powered by a usba connector so a usbc adapter is need if youre connecting this pad to a recent apple macbookpro laptop

The main problem is the thing is very slippery with no rubber or side to maintain the laptop in place
