Otherwise they lock the keys that do fit so that they don't fall out.

I use them to attach keys and stuff to my keychain, but the paint on them isn't the greatest.

Security locking feature is great, finish/coloring wore off almost immediately.

No load limit rating from nite ize, but i would not hesitate to use these mini biners to support a 5 to 10 pound load as long as all the stress is on the aluminum main body of the s-biner, not the gate arms.
