Pros

The game is very fun, addictive and yet challenging. It is quite challenging, but as you learn it gets easier. Not overly hard, but challenging.

The customization feature is very expansive. It similar to the first game in the leveling and how there are acts, dojo and progress. The combat is absolutely pristine, it's faster-paced and more combo-oriented than most souls-like games.

Nioh 2 is a prequel (and semi-sequel) to the original game that takes its best aspects and adds a few improvements to the proceedings. It's not a new game as much as it is a resking of the first with new and revamped mechanics.

Nioh 2 is more of the same with the first game that overtime it just doesnt hold up very well but it doesnt mean its bad. The game's atmosphere feels more interesting and i actually find myself more interested in the characters this time around. First...  Read More

Cons

The difficulty is just too jacked up or i am just not good enough. Three mistakes isn’t enough leeway to learn a new move set with zero ramping up. Feels more like work than fun and deaths seem unfair often. The mechanic feels very stilted like a ps2 ...  Read More

If ea purchased them and destroyed the studio, i’d celebrate" "i am so done with these ridiculous boss fights. Killed by second mission boss 50 times and haven't come close to beating it" "just play sekiro or wait for ghost of tsushima, but do not buy...  Read More

Game is fine but the box came busted in the center with the disk shifting around

One has to do with the acquisition of skill points and leveling up

Price

Amazing game at great price i paid twenty

Packaging/appearance

For starters i want to get something out of the way

Competitiveness

Ive died at least 50x trying to beat the first level but its a much better experience than newer games that hold your hand every 2 steps

Nioh 2 overall is noticeably more challenging than its predecessor and there are several reasons why

And i swear many regular yokai enemies were one or twoshotting me in certain missions while even the bosses weren’t doing that

I died 400 times during my playthrough but it had excellent moments

If youre willing to put up with the frustration that comes along with constantly dying and replaying parts of the level youve already been through than its worth a try

What it does add to the gameplay is mostly positive but it’s nothing gamechanging either

First off much like the first game nioh 2 has a “meh” story

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It’s actually a bit better than the first game’s story but not by much

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Instead of playing as the very bland and forgettable william from the first nioh in nioh 2 you create your own male or female avatar through whom you will be slaying all manner of demons and as per usual in these types of games your avatar is mute so heshe will not be all that interesting or have much of a discernable personality

And sometimes the weapons you find or craft can be either blessed or cursed which will have negative effects on demonyokai or human enemies respectively
