The zoom range and aperture range is useful, especially on a full frame. The lens lacks vr -- normal in its day but there are compelling choices now that have vr (or its equivalent) for fx users i doubt this would be an issue at all though. Some of th... Read More

The seller is amazing. The item is just perfect! It arrived in advance timing & the item condition is excellent. A very good lens for the price.

Fast - sharp - fabulous in low light. Great for landscapes but does fairly well for portraits as well. Shooting full frame with this wide angle is great for land-, sky-, and seascape without stirred edges.

Anyways - to reaffirm this lens is a good little trooper and has stood up to * day after day. Af response is also good.

Cons

One of nikon's worst lenses. Terrible distortion around the edges on wide open shots. Mediocre, low-budget lens.

Build quality is solid controls are smooth and feel good in hand far better than the 24120mm f4 previous generation that i rented

The quality is excellent at most focal lengths

Absolutely surprised at the quailty images from this lens

It is exact what i was looking for and did not find with the tamron

The cost is far better for my price range than the 2470mm f2

The price was about 45 cheaper and morning advertised like new

Psamazons price was 200 less than i could get with a ritz discount

Packaging/appearance

The cap was hard to get off and the packaging was just barely enough to arrive pretty beaten up but with the lens in good shape

Competitiveness

Im using on a nikon d750 and it works great

Its not vr but using it on a nikon d610 and d800 only around 1 out of every 200 shots was out of focus due to shaky hands

I would give you a con but i could come up with one from the perspective of a hobbiest

I am just a hobbiest and enjoy taking different photos of flowers i grow landscape and of my family
