The handle is 3. Inches long. It has a snug fit, the handle is not too big to work with, and a smooth finish. It fits the tang just right. Good size grip.
Cons
The picture shows what appears to be beachwood. Completely loose and somehow at the same time crooked. Just how hard is it to drill a straight hole in the center of the handle?

This will not accommodate a medium or large size file

If you do a lot of work with files invest in a handle with a larger more comfortable grip or get an adjustable grip that will take different size files
