Two things surprised me 1 theres no instructions that are packaged with the unit turns out that the seller emails the instructions to you as an attachment and 2 this nanny cam is much bigger and thicker than i expected

It plugs directly into the upper half of a grounded wall outlet the outlet must have a ground because the back of the unit has a plastic post about an inch long that inserts into the ground hole for the lower outlet

And you need to make sure that your electrical outlet was installed with the ground hole below the two electrical slots think of two eyes with an open mouth below like the outlets shown on the nanny cam product photo

If your outlets are installed with the ground connection at the top and no electrical code i know of prohibits it your video clips will play upside down

Since none of the three electrical outlets on the nanny cam are live you have to sacrifice the use of an entire wall outlet to power this device
