I didnt notice any change in the sound with the electrical tape but once i replace the original cable with the new one i noticed a huge improvement in left ear sound quality no difference on the right side

So in my opinion these cables sound as good if not better than the original from sennheiser are much lighter and are way cheaper than buying a replacement from the manufacturer
