Be careful never to unscrew the forward portion since it holds the motor and if you unscrew it and pull on it you could break the solder connections of the motor wires to the internal terminal

For more conventional cups the longer style means that it will not spatter milk onto the casing with the batteries this takes two aaa batteries which are not included

Mainly id recommend this if you like lighter airier bubbles that are more likely to burst on the tongue with drinking than a super dense style foam that doesnt dissolve and has to be mouthed to dissolve this sort is more likely with larger commercial foamers

Bought this to have a more permanent frother as i liked the ikea one for 2 but couldnt replace the batteries without breaking it

Nice little tool well built but no matter how hard i press the rod into the housing the rod falls off after a few minutes of spinning
