This product works very well cool in the shop as well as heating
Was very happy with the item using in a camper and it works fantastic
The remote control doesnt seem to sync with the unit temperature if you change the temp manually
If you dont then there will be problems with the unit as a result

Reiterating though that it is a dehumidifying ac so the air will be dry in your room if the compressor has been running
This is probably what most people end up ignoring resulting in damage to their brandnew unit

So after my mother had one of these units for quite some time i decided to get one for my own bedroom because it is a room that gets unbelievably warm in the summer even if the homes ac is working

The window unit is pretty good despite it feeling flimsy at first touch

Automatic causes it to just kind of default to 75 for some reason so switching it to manual ac allowed my unit to actually cool down to the temperature i set it to and then switched to fan mode until the temperature went up again

Noisewise the fan makes as much noise as a lowsetting house fan which is negligible however it does make a loud sound when switching on the compressor which is also a fair bit loud

It did make recording obnoxious because the sound carried enough to be picked up even on low gain settings on the opposite side of the room so if you plan to use this ac in a room where recording takes place then i hope you like getting up close and personal with your mic otherwise its going to pick it up like mad

This thing does pull in humidity from the air to cool but i never did have to drain it once in all the time using it so dont even ask me where to drain it it has a sensor light to tell you it needs draining but not once did it come on

This isnt a design flaw its a part of the unit being portable
