Pros

If you are an ice chewer, this is the ice you want. It's a bit bigger than the ice from sonic or cookout. Ice is the perfect crunchy nuggets!

I use tap water for ice, but it will get some buildup with a small amount of sediment after a couple of weeks.

Cons

Tried to reset a few times over 3 days and finally gave up and sent back. Used amazon return on app, sent back to seller, still waiting on a refund 3 weeks later. Says it's warranty for a year, but can't get anyone from company’s support to respond.

The water reservoir is internal and cannot be easily removed and cleaned. The ice bin has moisture between the internal and external plastic window that won't dry out.

Does a great job making ice but makes obnoxious grinding noise that is very loud about 4-5 times a week. It's like ice gets jammed somewhere.

There is no way to compare these machines to the scotsman which cost somewhere around 5 or 6 thousand dollars

Packaging/appearance

It didn’t come in an amazon box though so when it got delivered a few days before christmas the packaging was obviously an ice maker

I purchased this ice maker when my ge opal self retired after 2yrs

I fill up tons of quart and gallon ziplock bags and throw them in the freezer so that the machine only has to run once a month
