I have the slim 120 gb model make sure you double check your order the right product since replacement parts are not the same for each different model

You need to use the same pcb that is on the old drive so some modification is needed before this works

I recommend following a youtube guide on how to take apart the ps3 remove the old drive and its housing and then the pcb

Shows that it comes in metal housing but you have to use old housing and switch your own circuit board to the drive

The most irritating part is pushing in the little ribbon cables but i am a woman with small fingers so it wasnt that bad
