This product is for the user wanting a thin clamshell cover it is in no way detachable without removing your ipad i know this because i bought itto replace my logi slim combo it features a magnetic pull apartdesign the problem with it is seperating in your bag while commuting and waking ipad as well as be very unstable to hold this keyboard case fits tightly however i am dissappointed that not all the holes line up perfectly
