Stick-on ring/wallet is really useful. I use it for 2 cards and metrocard and maybe one bill folded.

Adhesion gets stronger within 24hrs of attaching. It's basically unavoidable with stiffer cards like credit cards. But thinner more flexible cards don't cause it to come off the phone.
