Pros

It's delightfully over-kill. Great value. Decent switch. Performance is great.

This is the best value 10gbe switch i've seen so far. It sits behind a pfsense firewall running xfinity and att fiber. It acts as a backbone for all of my family's pcs and streaming devices. Used for ethernet switch in my work area.

Cons

This switch is over engineered with a fatal flaw. I feel cheated, but lesson learned.

The unit requires a netgear account to even configure. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that netgear’s is now forcing its customers to create an account just so you can get a code to register the device.

All in all this looks like a very capable switch at a very affordable price

This model had the right specs at a good price

Only thing i hated was having to pay a little more for something a 1520 unmanaged switch couldnt do

I ordered my switch but it didn’t arrive no fault to the seller as it was ups who appeared to deliver to the wrong address

Arrived a day early for which i am thankful the seller is awesome

Competitiveness

Moreover the switch supports dozens of other features that exceeds the general competition at the price point

Fiber works great with trendnet sfps and probably other brands as well

We dont have these mixed with other vendors or even a different series from netgear so i cant talk to that

This version does not do poe passthrough there is another model that does pass through on a few ports it only can be powered by poe
