Pros
Netgear products are very stable and are physically durable. It has a sturdy metal case. The body is good at keeping the unit cool, is easy to mount, and has a pretty small footprint.
The performance is fantastic and it is the configuration i recommend for people connecting to the office from home. Port forwarding is in use and working fine. You have to have each network on a different subnet in order to route traffic successfully.... Read More

I have version 3 of this router, it is horrendously slow. Many ssl logins fail, many jhtml pages fail to load. I was hit by lightening and blew out one router on my vpn.

The precedent vpn box cost about 5 times the price of this one

After configuring the fvs318 i connected my old wifi modem in passthrough mode on the lan side behind the firewall so wired and wireless devices are now all behind the wall and all on the same lan
