Pros & Cons
Pros
The grande comes with 2 poles, but i'd like to have the added support of one or two more on very windy days. You’re gonna need more sand in the anchor bags than you first think…they hold a lot. The only thing with the 2 pole cover is the end with the ... Read More
This tent is very lightweight and offers great shade. The sizeable shade you get is comparable to a 9x9/10x10 reg steel pop up canopy. It has more head room than a tent or an umbrella.
Set up and take-down was a snap. I have a couple complaints from an engineering perspective that will save everyone alot of frustration while they are setting their neso up. But, learned a ton.
As of now we are stationed in sc. My sister is a recent breast cancer survivor. Wanted something for three or four adults.
Cons
It’s very lightweight. Horribly made. Piece of *.
Highlights
Quality
It provided excellent shade with multiple ways of setup
The poles and canopy are durable and lightweight
2 poles collapses in wind and often blocks the view depending on sun position
The bag is the only thing that hasn’t held up and the bottom of the bag gave way
Price
Bought this for beach trips figured id get my own shade and save the money on not having to rent them
We had one of the 279 shade near by
Not a huge deal to put them back up but it did get a little annoying having to readjust quite a few times
Shipping
We were 24 days in aruba and the tent withstood the winds which were steady at 25 mph and gusting to 30
Packaging/appearance
I ordered a “used very good” which in description usually means just original packaging may not be there
I love how easy it is to pack up and out if there’s a hike to where we need to go
This was obviously used as when we opened the package to check it out it was sandy and it smelled like the ocean
I followed all instructions facing into the wind and over packing the sand bags
Competitiveness
Pros this is soooo lightweight and easy to carry in comparison to other tents
It was also very quiet compared to other items on the market

Extra poles and stakes may be needed for windier days but with some manipulation the two poles will withstand wind gusts
