Not that fast for a usb 3 device

Not many will get why this is important but this reader unlike the other 4 different brands i bought reads eyefi sd cards these are the sd cards with built in wifi for older digital slr cameras to become enabled to see the photos you take on your camera on your phone like newer digital cameras

Sd slots on the mac worked fine but with the removal of the sd slot i needed a usbc sd reader that worked with eyefi cards

Tried a few other models mostly faultydesign flawed this seems to be the most rounded product out of all of them

So well worth the moneyas a guide if people are unsure i have attached some pictures to show you how to pull out the micro usb built into your normal type usb in the first picture you can see a small horizontal blue space in the middle of the usb put your nail in there and pull it away from the body of the device this then reveals in the second photo directly below the first horizontal blue bar is another one do the same again and pull away from the device by and this pops the micro usb out for you to useit should click fairly simple and takes less than 5 seconds to do

I got this for my girlfriend for valentines day so that she could backup her iphone 6s photos but then got the wrong one i then got her an adapter for the lighting port and it didnt work backing up data and photos so im now using it for my android phone and works great the power of the android phones

The first one i received had a fault in that the micro usb plug would not latch in the open position
