This is my first offcamera flash and there was a slight learning curve with regard to properly exposing my photos in full manual mode as required with this flash and my dslr but nothing that couldnt be mastered with a little trial and error

This manual flash when used properly saves a hobbyist or casual photographer on a tight budget such as myself hundreds of dollars over buying the camera controlled models

Be aware of what you are buying though this is a totally manual flash your dslr cannot control the flash and you will need to manually correctly expose your photos in full manual mode
