Pros & Cons
Pros
Guide number 120ft, 35mm, 100 iso. It feels good quality and has dual light diffusion. The softness that this light provides is excellent.
Not a deal breaker for the price. The combo is cheaper than most brands' grids alone.
Each rod has a small insert and a larger insert. The front face attaches via velcro as with any regular softbox. The velcro strip is wide enough that you can now attach the grid.
Cons
This isn't a bad product for the money, but it does have some serious limitations. The durability is straight garbage, pay more money for a better solution.
The pockets for the rods are tiny and hard to find. This means that there is no way to secure the rods that hold the soft box open. Assembly is an absolute nightmare. No instructions and is extremely difficult and highly frustrating for one person.
Highlights
Quality
The light quality is great and it has an inner screen to prevent hotspots from flashes
The quality of the material really surprised me i am very happy that it does not look cheap but rather professional
You will not want this model if you need to foldcollapse the softbox for frequent travel
Price
The velcro is very close and considering the quality of the material my price is affordable
I am very excited to see it but its cheap price makes me doubt
Shipping
It is fairly straightforward to assemble but i wouldnt consider it fast or easy to break down and set back up
Packaging/appearance
There are a lot of parts but it will not go wrong to assemble the softbox first
I bought this softbox with a grid for the first time but i was able to assemble the softbox correctly
Competitiveness
Now i am very happy with this purchase and i am sure you will also receive a fivestar product
My studio is nicely equipped with a professional grade vid light because of this neewer product
If you’ve assembled these before then it’s no big deal
I just couldn’t make myself buy the more expensive brands

Portability isnt important to me since i will only use this in my studio and not take it on the but if you are going to take it on the road i would bet there are more expensive solutions that would work better than this

But if you have a studio and do not need to take it down by all means get this and just leave it like it is
