I was leery about buying this lens at first because i have had poor experiences in the past with the quality of small inexpensive lenses breaking on me as soon as i used them

It is manual focus and there are no aperture stops

It is not peticularly great at landscaping because of the crazy vignetting and distortion in the outer corners some would say its not a great portrait lens either because it isnt very fast or telephoto

This is completely manual so you should at least understand the shutter speed and iso data
