Pros
The book successfully shows the dive into insanity that each character often ends up experiencing. It's a slow controlled dive, or one that quickly drowns the individual in the hellish seas of insanity that the creatures often inhabit.
At the mountains of madness, the call of cthulhu, and the dream-quest of unknown kadath. All the classic stories are there & the illustrations are a definite bonus. Has everything in it including poems.
The hardcover version of this book looks great, it feels sturdy and sleek. The only thing is it came with a slight crease on the cover's corner, but i did purchase it used, so what else is to be expected?

This listing just had pictures of the front and back covers while my google search of this book had pictures of the inside pages that were beautifully printed and artfully decorated with chthullu symbols maps and the like

This was not a problem with the selling company or the publisher of the book but rather me not researching the item i wanted fully enough

My main gripe with the book is its overall sturdyness its a thicker book than i was expecting and the binding and covers seem a little too loose to hold all the pages correctly

I bought the hardcover version but the covers are fairly thin making the book too flexible overall

This being said the reason that lovecraft doesnt receive as many accolades as some horror writers is due to his legendary racism

Sort of a minor complaint but i just sort of wish i couldve had a way to track the book while waiting for it to be delivered as its date of arrival was basically anyones guess
