It was unfair the way ivy was classified as feeble minded or low iq when the real problem was her situation

Raised in a different environment would have scored her differently on the iq test and it makes me angry that iq tests are so situationally biased

This one is no exception as she weaves into the plot the fact that north carolina once had a eugenics program that focused on sterilization of the those it deemed to have genetic effects or presumed to have undesirable traits
