Pros
The quality is awesome and marine grade. Material seems durable. For less than the cost of a tank of gas for my truck, this thing is beyond my expectations so far.
Make sure the bracket that mounts to the boat is angled correctly. Installed mine on a 19' 6 1974 aquasport center console. Our classic boat has slide rails on the gunwales for moving the bow-to-stern position of the original bimini.
The bimini is very easy to assemble (no shame in building it backwards at first then redoing it ;-) and the hardware is all good quality stainless steel. Thank god my husband is so mechanically inclined.
The shade makes it bearable out there against the beach sun. Good coverage from the blazing sun. Makes a huge difference in temps under the bimini.
Cons
The adjustable straps are not so great. Had to modify it to fit properly. The color of the light grey that is shown on the ad and in the sample pictures is not what i received.
After installing the bimini top on the frame sunlight was easily visible thru all the seams. The fabric sagged and puddled between the frame crossmembers. Easy to use, but very thin material.

If you mount the blocks that hold the rear support bars to your gunwales and will be disconnecting them frequently to lower the unit to the stow position i strongly recommend supergluing the nut into the block so that you only need one hand to turn the thumbscrew in and out

If you look at the picture i posted of the mounting block you will see the recessed nut that i am referring to

It is just a loose nut and without gluing it in you almost need three hands to put the bar together every time you raise the top

You must use common sense understand while this is intended to provide shade depending on you direction the location of the sun you may still get some rays
