As others have said this product does need to be rinsed before preparation and normal colanders do not have small enough holes for the product you might also want to look into a rice washing bowl another item i purchased from amazon

At 25 centsoz it was the cheapest prerinsed organic quinoa i could find on amazon except for a 25 pounds supply from free adam httpwww
