Smaller sized book, easy to travel with. Great book with beautiful pictures and up to date information about hikes, lodging and scenery in each park. Allows you to get a good idea of all the national parks in the u.

Each regional introduction includes a map of the whole region. My favorite section is the “hit the road” as it lays out idea for a road trip to several parks in each geographical location. It even has a route guide for the various trips that explains ... Read More

Cons

The magazine is small and might as well be a paperback book. Simple descriptions of the trails and no noteworthy information for my uses. Buy a fodor's guide.
