You can push the positive button to increase the heat temperature or negative to decrease it and it is set on fahrenheit

It goes up to 450 degrees fahrenheit so it can get fairly hot

One of the absolute coolest features about this is the fact that it shows you what the temperature is at all times so when you just turned the temperature on you can see the lcd display actually going up as the temperature heats increases

Obviously this item does get very hot so use cautions around children and when letting young girls do their own hair
