Frederik backman once again delivers a compelling and heartfelt tale. As usual, his characterizations are flawless. He also does a great job in how the character's lives intertwine.

It is an emotional rollercoaster that has such a good message and point. It’s sweet and sad, realistic and thought invoking. A hug, a cathartic story.

It can make the people left behind want to stop living’. A grieving mother. And an anxious soldier. And a hundred other people.



Cons

If you’ve stumbled across this review, i implore you to read other reviews as well. The characters are well-developed but the endless interwoven fair tales mess up the read. There were noticeable inconsistencies in his writing too.

    I didnt know who the author was and it took me awhile to even catch on that this was not originally written in english its translated so well that i was confident it was written by someone who speaks british english instead of american english until a comment that a character made
