The handturned screws for the bits that held up the shelves were easy to handscrew in the front but hellaciously hard in the back not sure why

The unit i received appears to be dark mahogany although the product description as of this writing says antique walnut

Its definitely a warmer tone with more red than walnut has but not bright like cherry finishes can be

The main attachments are all by philipshead screws but the pilot holes are much too shallow

Probably because some pieces dont fit square and i had so much trouble with the screws the unit is a little wobbly sidetoside
