Pros & Cons
Pros
Garda siobhan o'sullivan is engaged to fellow garda macdara flannery (dara) they have yet to announce their engagement at siobhán's request. Siobahn and dara find themselves ensnared in a complicated case involving * and, wait for it- fairies!
This book is well-written, well-paced and the mystery will keep you guessing right until the last. The story flows well, and the suspense builds, in this cozy mystery. Easy swing into the clue that naturally leads to the next revelation.
Book 5 has the reader thoroughly enthralled with all things fairies. When they arrive, they find macdara's has died and the townsfolk are blaming it on the fairy-folk.
This mystery could be read as a stand-alone, but would be best enjoyed as part of the series. This is series is more one of gentle procedurals than cozies and this latest installment (fine as a standalone) is the same.
