Pros & Cons
Pros
Mungyo’s “gallery handmade soft pastels” are very nice. These are not soft pastels though (not like oil pastels…they are harder like chalk, perhaps a little harder) these are the only pastels i use. I’m using them to color clay and they’re easy to use... Read More
Some of the colors are a little transparent so add white acrylic powder or grind some of the white pastel to make a more opaque shade. I love how it’s sealed so the colors aren’t moving around and mixing into eachother.
They work great and it’s so much cheaper than buying mica powder. Oddly, they're well worth the money. A fabulous price, and an even more fabulous product.
The half sticks are small, but they are half sticks so that should be expected. They rest in a plastic tray and are covered with foam to help protect them. I scrape them with a razor and use a paintbrush, so the size is fine.
The packaging is secure and keeps everything in order. Not going to lie very messy, loads of fun.
Cons
Chalks are so tiny they are nearly impossible to hold to use. This is not like a box of markers or crayons. Crayola pastels are better.

The variety and price was excellent unfortunately the box of soft pastels i received may have been shaken quite a bit

They work great and it’s so much cheaper than buying mica powder
I have purchased the much more expensive prismacolor brand in the past because their other products are wonderful

I’m laminating all soft pastel pictures because they do tend to rub off the paper and smear
