Its very sensitive and will pick up motion over a large area i ended up covering part of the sensor on either end with tape to narrow its coverage are so it is not constantly chiming while someone is standing at the counter 10 feet away

The door is about 100 feet from the office and welcome center and sometimes there isnt a person at the welcome center taking care of other office activity so they really wanted a unit that would announce anyone coming in
