Scanning out of a book like the product images show would be laughable since the paper curves close to the spine

If you move evenly and not too fast at 300 dpi results is not that different from a flatbed scanner

In the older volumes the text is handwritten and faded with age almost 250 years in some cases

My hope with this scanner was that we could stop wrestling these big books onto our copiers often getting almost unreadable results

The setup instructions for the iscan are close to unintelligible but i stumbled through and got everything working
