Returned to vendor who flashed it and the cpu is now recognised ryzen 2700x
One criticism i have is that the pinouts for the power switch etc are not marked on the board so it was a bit tedious connecting it up though the manual is pretty good by all accounts
Once it was up and running overall a very nice board has a good range of features and still trying out the audio capabilities
