Pros & Cons
Pros
For the early jeep wrangler owners, this is a must have for ignition tuning/ upgrade. Purchased to replace stock coil on 93 jeep cherokee 4. Jeep wrangler, no harness needed.
When idling it's like a brand new truck perfectly smooth. With new cap, rotor, wires and plugs all is good for quite some time inside the spark dept. Installed this along with a msd distributor cap and rotor.
Cons
I'm terribly disappointed in this coil as i have had msd in my jeep before and it was great. This coil is garbage! Don’t waste your money or time.
Highlights
Quality
I used it with the accel adapter harness with no problems
Replaces oem for 1995 xj without any adapters and have fun with the front bolt access
Finally i replaced the stock coil with the msd 8228 and sure enough my ram runs great again
Hope this one stands up to msd quality
Competitiveness
Such a great unit at a great price
I dont understand why i had to purchase a competitors adapter to make it work though

I’ve gone through 3 or more coils said to be high powered but don’t last long about 5000 miles before power drops off and it hard to start
