Update 12.19.2019-since it's advised NOT to use the accessory hose with large tank indoors, I've been using the small 1# bottles. Do yourself a favor and get one of those adapters from here on amazon or harbor freight to refill them. It's easy, safe and you won't have to worry about blowing yourself up using the large LPG track attached indoors. I find it convenient to use the small tanks as i can move the heater about w/o having to worry about stressing any the hose/tank. My next test is to fire up the heater in an enclosed canopy and see how that works!Update 12.8.2019-after a few more uses, I've determined that based on how cold it was (~35 deg) we left the heater on over night (no worries, i had a CO alarm nearby just in case). It burned up one #1 bottle of fuel in about 7 hours of continuous use. I used this opportunity to try out the fan-for what it does either get the power adapter or don't bother as I found the benefit of helping to disperse warm air about the room was negligible. I ran it w/batteries & found additional weight, need to carry spares & inefficiency of the fan rendered it useless. My next purchase fur this will be the 12+ ft hose adapter to run off a 1 gallon lpg tank. Overall pleased on the performance, be prepared to burn through bottles or do the hose & 1gal tank thing. Either way, you'll be pleased that your not freezing your caho-knees off!11.25. 2019-Received the unit and used last night on my first seasons camping trip! What an upgrade from my old smaller little buddy that I've somehow lost? With the two ceramic instead it had double the heating capability. I primarily selected this unit for its dual ceramic inserts and the multiple settings. The reviews and description indicated I may or may not need the power adapter for the built in fan (which it may or may not have) or the optional fuel hose for the connection it may or may not have? Whelp, this unit has the fan which can also operate on 4 D size batteries and the hose connection! I think I'll get the 6v power cord but will forgo the hose as i already have the refilling 1# bottle attachment & it's suggested to only use the hose and larger <20# bottles in an outdoor setting. I like having the ability to install 1 or 2 of the small bottles for portability purposes.I've not received this unit yet but it's replacing the smaller 4-9k BTU unit that grew legs & walked away. I used the pervious unit as a secondary method of heating our camper. I appreciate the small size, ease of operation, portability, adaptable to using larger LP tanks with the addition of other accessories and the small footprint. I'll be sure to fire it up when I receive it to ensure operability as some stated the ignitor quickly on them. I used the previous unit to heat a room during a power outage and it performed flawlessly. Be sure to get the adapter to refill the 1 lb bottles if you aren't connecting to a large tank or want to save money not having to purchase those bottles. I'll update review of anything changes.  Read Less
