The motion sensor is great and the light turns on the second you walk into range. The cats bounding down the stairs trigger the motion detector too, even from the window sill. They continue to trigger as you descend / ascend the staircase.

The amber light will not jar you awake, unlike normal bright lights. The light feels gentle on the eyes at night. The outlets in the bathroom are controlled by the (bright) light switch.

Wall attachment is a kind of slip or socket and the device snaps in and out easily. Two large screws with coin-sized slots hold the battery compartment closed.

Batteries are high-quality energizer and have been swapped out but the issue persists. Until the batteries die. Does is make sense that low batteries would leave the light on all the time, further draining the batteries?

Dark/light sensor is too sensitive causing it to activate even when there is dim light. I only want it to turn on at night when someone goes up the stairs. Not optimum for high traffic areas.
