Cord is generously long usb was plugandplay though if you have multiple audio input sources or devices on your computer youll likely have to specify the input when you use the mic

I have to say that several of the one two and three star reviews for this mic reflect distortion caused by a failure on the users part to reduce saturated audio pickup

This microphones signal strength is literally so strong that if you place it where most people locate a lavaliere lapel mic meaning a few inches below your mouth there is a high probability that you will blow right through the signal strength meter on your attached equipment operating system literally causing distortion and static in the recording

It has great sound quality and for those of us who pop our words means there is no sound surge when we speak emphatically this keeps it from the audio track unlike a static desk mic
