Aftermarket parts are cheap because of the materials and production method used

Keep the tstat in the same position as the used one then the o ring sits on top of it and the inlet then wedges the o ring to the t stat

It replaced a different one that was working fine at a higher temp probably around 200 degrees but i did a radiator flush and fill so i swapped out the thermostat while i was at it

The previous owner put a thermostat in that had zero markings or indication for what temperature it was rated for
