Pros
Cured the hesitation and occasional misfire. No hesitation any more. Smooth idling. Worked like a champ.
The ford ranger (175,000 miles) runs like a top. The has 140 thousand miles and runs great again. Hopefully the car keeps going mow. Diagnosed on a 2007 ford with 115k miles.
Unscrew 3 bolts and pull the plug out and reverse to install the new one. Installed in 10 minutes.
Cons
Swapping spark plugs and wires hasn’t helped. Returning part to vendor and amazon charging for ups charges to return.

Yes you can pay as little as 22 for others of this part on amazon but i dont want to be too cheap and get stuck someday out on the road

I went with the motorcraft part came in 2 days easily installed it and it fixed the problem right away
This item came as scheduled and appears to have fixed my engine light problem
The coil came very fast factory part fixed my truck
Update i just purchased another cylinder coil pack from amazon ena ignition coil pack which hasnt arrived just yet
Packaging/appearance
As it was sent fedex the first one came broken box look like it had been rolled down a set of stairs exchange was very quick though
So i reinstalled the bdw coil and have the new motorcraft coil boxed and waiting in the garage just in case

The shop wanted to put new plugs and wires which off course it needed now but what i didnt understand is i told them i just replaced all that 10k15k miles ago

Little bit of research suggested the most likely culprit was the ignition coil

Super easy to replace the part here at 64 was about half as expensive then local parts store or even the 100 percent mark up at the auto shop plus i paid myself in labor fees
