Drain tools allow you to drain all the oil out of the filter so there is not oil spillage. Aligning the three prong side with the three slits in the filter wrench cap.

I realize that the price is a bit high partly because of the packaging, but i don't care. Only thing, wish amazon would of shipped or delivered in a box or bag instead of slapped a sticker on the product box. Well worth the price.

The filter drain tube and valve work flawlessly and have the smoothest threads. The filter housing socket fits perfectly and the drain hose minimizes the mess.

Cons

The drain tube on the filter drain tool is way too long unless you have a lift. I cut all but 8” off of mine.

Defective threads while this was a two months after purchase it was not discovered until first oil change

The oil filter wrench is dead on for the factory housing with zero slop

The extra for the hose was a little pricey thus the 4 stars
