The illumination is good and the pir kicks in when a person is about 8 feet from the sensor

The reason why most other solar lights fail to impress is they cant be set to switch off entirely after dusk they continuously emit a dim light until triggered to light up fully so there is a constant drain on the battery

I have had it installed for 10 days before writing this to make sure it had stabilised and wasnt just working on charge already in the battery
